“Music transports us, for a time, a different time, a place, a different place, it’s magic like that”
This 2025 initiative delivers a rich, inclusive program of live musical performances and interactive sessions to the residents. To foster creativity, enhance well-being, and spark meaningful connections through music.
“Music is uplifting, stirs memories, and creates bonds that last far beyond the final note.”
This is a heart-led collaboration between Anam Beo, healthcare staff, and three exceptional musicians. This project is supported by Offaly County Council’s Creative Ireland grant programme 2025-2027

Why It Matters
This music-in-healthcare project is more than entertainment, it’s a pathway to wellness.
Residents reconnect with stories, memories, and one another through sound, rhythm, and shared space. The project builds on the successful collaboration between Anam Beo, HSE residential centres, and Offaly’s arts community. Aligning with the values of accessibility, compassion, and creative inclusion.
Sustainability & Legacy
Feedback and reflections will be gathered to evaluate and share the project’s lasting impact. Culminating in a self-published booklet capturing the voices, songs, and spirit of Birr CNU’s musical journey.
