Artists projects provide access to arts with the right supports for creativity to continue making its contribution to societal health & contemporary culture.

Artists respond to the moment and the circumstance.

“We are working to ensure arts engagements and participation is being adapted for physical distancing and safety. Creative spaces will adjust and reconnect to enjoy our essential conversations”

A collective of artists, Anam Beo have actively been part of socially driven arts practices since 2005. As artists who work with vulnerable members of our society we have adjusted our physical contact for community and care settings.

Anam Beo challenges ageism, perceptions of what it means to be old and what it means to be creative. Through meaningful creative engagements with socially engaged arts consultative practices, our projects advocate skill sharing, social innovations, investment and resources for facilities and services.

A Creative Charter is an artists led published initiative by Rowena Keaveny and Julie Spollen, a collaboration to support creativity within communities, for the community. This was funded by a Community Foundation for Ireland Advocacy for Older People Award in 2018, and unpacked by Artists in the Community ‘Activate’ a conscious place for living initiatives & exhibition at Áras an Chontae in Tullamore in December 2019.
